School Supplies Donation



During our Vasant Utsab program in 2023, Sanskriti contributed school bags filled with books, pens, pencils, and notebooks to 50 students through Goonj. This initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged children.

Bengali Language Classes

To benefit young kids and all Bengalis who have grown up in Mumbai, we started our Bengali language classes on February 9, 2022. Currently, seven participants are learning the Bengali language under the guidance of our cultural secretary, fostering cultural pride and linguistic skills.

Pandemic Relief Efforts



In alignment with our mission as a charitable organization, we responded to the pandemic situation by distributing food packets to those in need. On May 2, 2020, our member Saurav Goswami took the lead in organizing this initiative, providing essential nourishment to vulnerable communities.

Donation of Essential Medicines


On October 20, 2018, Sanskriti donated essential medicines to Shri KVO Jain Manav Kalyan Kendra in Dahisar East, Mumbai. This donation was made possible through contributions from most of the homes of member families, showcasing our commitment to reach out to the needy through a dedicated charity hospital.

The Art Gallery


In 2024, Sanskriti introduced a new initiative by organizing an Art Gallery for the first time. Members actively participated in an art workshop, showcasing their creativity through a range of paintings and creations. All proceeds from the sale of these artworks were donated to the NGO Goonj, reinforcing Sanskriti’s commitment to giving back to society and supporting charitable causes.

Run for Unity at Tata Marathon



On January 20, 2019, Sanskriti members participated in the Tata Marathon under the banner "Sanskritans Run for Unity." The team, comprising Gautam Sarkar, Shalaka Sarkar, N.D. Kundu, Aparajeeta Sarkar, and Chirojeet Sarkar, ran with great vigor to promote unity within the Sanskriti community.

Annual Sports Day



Our Annual Sports Day was celebrated on December 27, 2018, at YMCA Ground, featuring friendly family cricket matches among four teams: Blue Lagoon, Red Fox, Deep Purple, and Grey Goose. Team Red Fox won the trophy, and the day was filled with excitement and camaraderie as members enjoyed a delicious biryani lunch and cold drinks.

Annual Picnics / Get-togethers



Sanskriti organizes annual picnics and get-togethers under the leadership of Mr. N.D. Kundu, offering a day filled with various events, games, and activities. The program features breakfast, a sumptuous lunch, and evening snacks, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone.


One particularly special picnic was held on January 13, 2019, at Puranik Sayama in Lonavala. Hosted by our late member Mr. B.N. Laha, the day stood out as our founder member, Bablu Da, delighted attendees with Boul and Bengali songs, accompanied by the harmonium and tintara. The chance to win a variety of prizes added to the excitement and overall delight of the event.

Felicitated by Music Ustad



On the auspicious Onam day, August 25, 2018, Sanskriti was honored at the Kobi, Kobita o Gan ceremony organized by Music Ustad, a music academy in Mumbai. The event, held at Manik Sabagruha, attracted an audience of over 500 people, including prominent clubs like New Bombay Bengali Association, Chembur Club, Durga Bari, and Aparajita Ladies Club, Goregaon. The program aimed to support the Child Health Foundation (CHF), which works tirelessly on treatment and critical surgeries for underprivileged children across India. Notable attendees included Mrs. Dola Basu Shome, a vocal singer and music therapist, along with Menon Roy, S.P. Ray, and Gautam Mukhopadhyay.


Support for Underprivileged Children



Sanskriti took a significant step in our social initiative by helping underprivileged children at VKKM Academy and Junior College in Borivali West, Mumbai. On September 11, 2018, we distributed long notebooks to over 50 students during a ceremony organized by the school. The event was attended by Principal Mr. Ajex Varkey, Vice-Principal Ms. Tandra Majumdar, and several members of TEAM SANSKRITI, including D.P. Dev, N.D. Kundu, Shukla Banerjee, Shrabani Mukhopadhyay, and Gautam Sarkar.
